SHORT BIO
Heloisa Escudero was born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil, and relocated to the United States in 1987, where she developed a strong interest in the visual arts. She holds triple citizenship—American, Italian, and Brazilian.
Escudero is a contemporary multidisciplinary artist whose practice centers on conceptually driven, tactile, and interactive work. Her projects emphasize audience participation, inviting viewers to actively engage and become integral to the artistic experience.
Her work has been exhibited internationally in Sweden and Spain, and nationally throughout the United States, including extensive exhibitions in the Washington, D.C. area, as well as in New York City and Boston.
Escudero’s work has been featured in prominent publications, including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The New Yorker, Resource Magazine, the Harvard University Archives, and The Washington Post.
